What should you actually build?

Most people arrive here knowing they want something and not what. Six questions and you get a specific thing you could build, who would pay for it, and what it would cost us to build it — priced from the same public numbers as the rest of this site.

1 of 6

Which of these sounds most like you?

Pick the closest. Nothing here is binding.

Every price this produces comes from the 33 services we publish at /pricing. Nothing here invents a number.

Before you start

What it asks, and why each one matters.

Six questions. Five are taps and the last one is optional — the whole thing takes about a minute, and you can go back and change anything.

  1. 01

Which of these sounds most like you?

Pick the closest. Nothing here is binding.

    • I make content and have an audience
    • I'm building, or want to build, a software product
    • I run a business that serves customers
    • I lead an agency or an in-house team
    • None of those — I'm working it out
  2. 02

    What have you already got?

Choose any that apply. This decides what's realistic, not what's allowed.

    • An audience that pays attention to me
    • Paying customers or clients
    • Deep knowledge of one specific niche
    • Code, a prototype or a half-built thing
    • A manual process that eats my week
    • Honestly, just the ambition
  3. 03

What would make this worth doing?

The one that would genuinely change things.

    • Money that arrives every month without me selling again
    • More of the right people finding and contacting me
    • My hours back — the repetitive work doing itself
    • Something I own and can sell, not a service I deliver
    • The thing I already have working properly
  4. 04

How much of your own time can this have?

Be honest — it changes what we'd recommend, not whether we'd help.

    • Almost none. I want it run for me
    • A few hours a week
    • This is the main thing I'm doing
  5. 05

What can you put behind it to start?

A floor, not a commitment. Every price on this site is a starting number.

    • Under $500
    • $500 – $2.5k
    • $2.5k – $7.5k
    • $7.5k+
    • I'd rather pay monthly
    • No idea yet
  6. 06

Last one — what do you actually do?

A sentence or two in your own words. This is the part that makes the answer yours rather than generic.

Optional — you can skip it

If you hand it to us

The same guarantee as everything else.

A generated idea is a starting point. What happens after you send it back is a scope in writing, a fixed price and a date — and these four promises, which apply to every job regardless of how it started.

01

14-day money back

02

Fixed price, in writing

03

You own all of it

04

No lock-in on monthly plans

Questions

Before you start

Is the fit finder going to try and sell me something?

It ends with a price, so yes, in the honest sense. What it will not do is put the answer behind an email address, invent a number, or promise you what the thing will earn — we have no way of knowing that. The suggestion is generated; the prices come from the same public catalog as the rest of the site.

Do I have to give you my email to see the result?

No. The result appears in full whether or not you give us anything. There is an option to have it emailed to you afterwards, which is there because people want a copy, not because it is a toll gate.

What do you do with my answers?

We keep them, and your email if you give it, so we can see which questions people get stuck on and so we can pick up the conversation where you left it. We do not sell them and there is no drip sequence. Ask us and we will delete them.

What if the idea it gives me is wrong?

Then it did half its job — you now know something you did not want, which is genuinely useful. Send it back to us and say what is off. A person will tell you what they would build instead, and if the honest answer is that we are not the right studio for it, you will get that answer too.
