Privacy

What we keep, and what we don't.

Short, because there isn't much. Most of this site stores nothing at all — one feature stores something, and this page is mostly about that one. No cookie banner, because there are no tracking cookies to consent to.

The short version

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or run a mailing list. There is no drip sequence and no retargeting pixel. Three features collect something — the contact form, the fit finder, and an account if you choose to open one — and each tells you so at the point it does it. Everything else on this site is read-only.

The fit finder at /build

This is the one feature that stores anything. Your answers are saved as you pick them — before you finish, and whether or not you finish — because the sessions people abandon are the ones that tell us which question is badly written. If you ask for the result by email, we keep the address you gave.

You do not have to give an email to see the result. The whole answer appears on screen first, for free, and the box asking for an address sits underneath it.

What
Which options you chose, anything you typed in the free-text box, which page sent you here, and the result we produced. Your email and name only if you asked us to send you a copy.
Why
To see where people get stuck, and so that if you write to us we already know what you were looking at instead of asking you to explain it twice.
Where
Google Firestore, in a private database. No part of it is readable from the browser — every read and write goes through our server.
How long
Sessions with no email attached: kept while they are still useful for improving the questions, then deleted. Anything with your email on it: until you ask us to remove it.

The contact form

What you write is emailed to us and to you, and a copy is saved so it cannot be lost. It used to be email only — which meant that if our mail provider failed, your enquiry disappeared and the only person who knew was you, waiting for a reply that was never coming. Saving it first fixes that.

We reply within 24 hours, from a person. We will not add you to a mailing list, sell your details, chase you with a sequence, or send an automated reply pretending to be a person.

What
Your name, email, budget band, the service you picked if you picked one, and what you wrote in the message box.
Why
So the enquiry survives an email failure, and so we can see it alongside the rest of your history with us instead of hunting through an inbox.
Where
The same private Firestore database as the fit finder. Nothing about it is readable from the browser.
How long
Until you ask us to delete it, or until it is clearly no longer relevant to anything.

If you open an account

Accounts are optional and free, and nothing we publish is behind one — every page, price and tool on this site works signed out. Signing in exists so a plan the fit finder wrote for you is still there tomorrow, and so a project we are building for you has somewhere to show its progress.

Firebase handles the sign-in itself, so your password is never sent to this site and we never see it. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google, and nothing else about your Google account.

Creating an account triggers exactly one email, introducing the studio and what we build. It is a form letter — written once, sent to everyone who opens an account — not a reply to anything you have told us. There is no sequence after it, and signing in again never sends another one.

What
Your name and email address, the account identifier Firebase issues, when you signed up and when you last signed in, and any plans you choose to save.
Why
To show you your own saved plans and your own projects, and nothing else. Having an account does not put you on any list and does not change what you are shown anywhere on the site.
Where
The same private Firestore database as everything else here. The browser is never given a handle to it — every read goes through this server, which checks who you are first.
How long
Until you ask us to delete the account, which removes the profile and the saved plans with it.

The free tools

The website audit and the AI visibility check fetch the URL you enter, score it, and show you the result. Nothing is stored, nothing is emailed, and there is no signup. Close the tab and there is no record it happened.

The price estimator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you select in it reaches us at all unless you press the button that pre-fills the contact form.

The Ask us form

The Ask us button opens the same project enquiry form as the contact page. What you submit is stored with the other enquiries and sent through Resend so we can reply; it is not used to generate an AI response.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights. Both are first-party — the request goes to this domain, not a third party — and neither sets a cookie or builds a profile of you. We see that a page was viewed and how fast it loaded, not who you are.

If Google Analytics is ever switched on here it will be for one reason only: joining Search Console queries to what a session did. It is off unless the page source shows otherwise.

Payments

There are none. This site has no checkout, takes no card details, and stores no payment information of any kind. Every job starts with an email or a call and is invoiced separately.

Getting your data back, or deleted

Email contact@decodewithmohit.com and say what you want. We will tell you what we hold, send it to you, or delete it — whichever you asked for — and we will do it within 24 hours like everything else. You do not have to explain why, cite a regulation, or fill in a form.

If you are in the EU or UK this is your GDPR right of access and erasure; if you are in India it is the same right under the DPDP Act. We would rather just do it than make you name the law.

Who else touches it

Vercel hosts this site and therefore handles every request. Google Firestore stores enquiries, fit-finder data, accounts and project records. Resend sends the email. Google processes what you type into the fit finder to generate a result. That is the complete list, and none of them are given your data for their own purposes.

Anything here that isn’t clear, or that you think is wrong — tell us or write to contact@decodewithmohit.com.
