05 — Care & Operations · 7 services · from $45/mo

Shipped is not finished. We keep it alive.

Launching is the easy half. Sites rot: dependencies go stale, certificates expire, plugins break, performance drifts, and a security patch nobody applied becomes the reason your Monday is ruined. Our monitoring checks all of it continuously — uptime, vitals, patches, backups — and an engineer acts on what it flags. That is how a plan this thorough costs what a plugin subscription used to.

The problem

Something is live and nobody owns it. The developer who built it has moved on, updates haven't been applied in months, nobody's watching uptime, and you'll find out it's broken when a customer tells you.

What changes

  • Updates, backups and security patches applied every month without asking
  • Uptime monitored around the clock — we know before your customers do
  • A named contact, with support coverage agreed in writing
  • Performance and Core Web Vitals held at target instead of quietly drifting

7 services

Everything in care & operations.

Each one priced from the smallest honest version of it. The line item you pick pre-fills the enquiry form, so you don't have to explain twice.

Cloud, DevOps & migration

Move off the hosting that's failing you, and set up deploys that don't need a brave volunteer.

Our guarantee

Clear terms before work begins.

Hiring a studio you found on the internet is a leap. These exist so it isn't one — every promise below is written into the scope document you sign.

01

“What if they take my money and produce something terrible?”

14-day build refund

The 14-day refund window starts when we deliver the first build version. If you reject that version within the window, we refund the studio build fee in full. Third-party purchases are separate. This build guarantee does not apply to monthly care or other retainers.

02

“What if the bill doubles halfway through?”

Fixed price, in writing

You approve one number before anything starts and it does not move. If the scope changes mid-project, the document changes first and you approve the difference — nothing lands on an invoice you haven't already seen.

03

“What if I'm trapped with them forever?”

You own all of it

The code and content we create are yours, and you control your domain and accounts. Third-party software retains its own licence terms. Your scope records what is transferred at handover.

04

“What if I want out of the retainer in month three?”

No lock-in on monthly plans

Every retainer is monthly and cancels with 30 days' notice. Lock-ins exist to protect agencies from their own churn — we'd rather earn the renewal each month.

How it runs

What working with us on care & operations looks like.

  1. 01

    Take inventory

What's running, on what, with which keys and which dependencies. Most handovers arrive with at least one thing nobody knew was in production.

  2. 02

    Stabilise

Backups verified, monitoring wired, security patches applied, secrets rotated. Everything urgent cleared before the retainer settles into routine.

  3. 03

    Run the month

Scheduled updates, uptime checks, and the editing allowance in your agreement. Basic website care includes 30 minutes of small edits per month, without rollover.

  4. 04

    Report

A monthly summary: what was updated, what broke and was fixed, what's degrading and should be dealt with before it becomes urgent.

Questions

Care & Operations, answered.

Can you maintain something you didn't build?

Yes — that's most of what we look after. There's a one-off onboarding audit first so we know what we're inheriting, and we'll be straight with you if what you have is beyond economic repair.

What's included in the hours?

Content edits, small feature tweaks, bug fixes, plugin and dependency updates. Anything larger gets quoted as a project — and we'll tell you which side of the line something falls on before doing it, never after.

How fast do you respond when something's down?

Basic care includes automated monitoring and a human reply within 24 hours. It does not include continuous human staffing or a fixed resolution time. Application support coverage and response targets are scoped separately.

Am I locked into a contract?

Monthly, cancel any time with thirty days' notice. Lock-ins exist to protect agencies from their own churn, and we'd rather earn the renewal.
